A Word from Our Leaders
Traditional Ruler
HRH Ntuifam David AgborNdip
Chief of Afab - Patron of ADA
The Afab people are a people of deep roots and tall aspirations. Our ancestors built this land with their hands, their wisdom, and their unity. Today, through the tireless work of the Afab Development Association, we see that same spirit alive - in every project completed, every child educated, and every family lifted. I bless this association with all the authority and heart of our forefathers, and I urge our people: support ADA. Support Afab. The future our ancestors dreamed of is within our reach.
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Lucas Tabe
President & CEO - ADA Global
Every great community rises from the conviction of its people. At ADA, we carry the weight of that conviction with pride. Our mission is not merely to develop infrastructure - it is to develop hope. From the libraries we build, to the roads we repair, to the women we empower and the children we educate, every action ADA takes is an act of love for Afab. I invite every son and daughter of Afab, women married to Afabians, well wishers, development stakeholders wherever you are in the world, to stand with us. Our community needs you. Our community is ready to rise.
A Clarion Call to Action
Afab Rises When We Rise Together
To every son and daughter of Afab, to our friends, partners, and donors across the world - the time to act is now. Our schools, our clinics, our roads, and our people are waiting for the change that only we can deliver. Every gift, every hour, and every voice moves us closer to the community we know Afab can become.
ADA stands with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - eradicating extreme poverty, delivering quality education, advancing good health and well-being, securing clean water and sanitation, empowering women and youth, and building strong, lasting partnerships for development. When you support ADA, you help Afab take its place in a global movement for a fairer, healthier, and more hopeful world.
Together, we build Afab. Together, we transform lives.
Our Identity
About ADA
The Afab Development Association - a people united by roots, purpose, and an unshakeable commitment to community.
Who We Are
Our Story
The Afab Development Association (ADA) - formally known as the ADA Global Community Empowerment Network - is a pan-community, non-partisan, non-governmental organisation founded by sons and daughters of Afab who carry the love of their homeland wherever they go.
From our home base in Limbe, Cameroon, to our chapters across West and Central Africa, Europe, North America, and South Africa, ADA is a living testament to what diaspora communities can achieve when they unite around a single conviction: that Afab deserves better, and that we are the ones to deliver it.
ADA is governed democratically through elected executives at both global and chapter levels, with annual conventions that bring the Afab family together across continents to celebrate progress and chart the path forward.
Our Foundations
Mission, Vision & Values

Unity: One Afab, one family, across all borders.
Accountability: Every resource entrusted to us is sacred.

🎓 Project 01 · Education
Education for Every Afab Child
Education is the most powerful investment a community can make in its future. ADA's Education Project provides scholarships, school supplies, reading materials, and infrastructure support to students from primary school through university across Afab and its surrounding communities.
We partner with schools to rehabilitate classrooms, equip science labs, and build school libraries that give young people the tools they need to succeed - tools that children in cities take for granted. ADA has built and donated classroom blocks to Government Primary School (GPS) Afab and Government High School (GHS) Afab, giving hundreds of children safe, permanent spaces to learn.
Every year, through our flagship Afab Excellence Award, ADA awards scholarships to students who excel in their end-of-year certificate examinations. These awards reward hard work, ease the burden on struggling families, and keep bright young minds in school. But demand grows faster than our resources - for every student we celebrate, there are many more who qualify and whom we cannot yet reach. With the support of grants, foundations, and partners who share our belief in the power of education, we can widen this scholarship programme, reach every deserving child, and turn academic promise into lasting opportunity. A gift to this programme is a direct, measurable investment in a young person's future and in the long-term development of Afab.
Aligned with ADA's Mission, Vision & Objectives
Directly advances our mission to foster sustainable development through education. Supports Objective 1 (educational advancement of youth) and embodies our vision of a community where every child has access to quality education. This project is where our vision becomes reality - one student at a time.
"When you sponsor an Afab child's education, you are not paying a school fee - you are funding a future doctor, a teacher, an engineer. You are investing in the next generation of Afab's greatness."

🏛️ Project 02 · Infrastructure
The Afab Community Centre
A community without a gathering place is a community without a heart. The Afab Community Centre is ADA's most ambitious infrastructure project - a modern, multi-purpose facility that will house a digital library, a cultural museum, a professional conference hall, youth activity rooms, and a women's empowerment centre.
Construction is underway on a community-donated parcel of land in the heart of Afab. When complete, this Centre will serve every generation - from the youngest child discovering books for the first time, to the eldest elder sharing oral history for posterity.
Aligned with ADA's Mission, Vision & Objectives
Directly advances Objective 2 (community infrastructure) and Objective 5 (cultural preservation). The Centre embodies ADA's vision of a self-sufficient Afab - a physical declaration that our community believes in itself and is building for the long term.
"Every brick laid in that community centre is a promise kept - to the children who will read in its library, to the women who will build their businesses in its halls, and to the elders whose stories will live forever in its museum."
💧 Project 03 · Water & Sanitation
Clean Water for Afab
Access to clean, safe water is the foundation of community health. ADA's Water Supply Project has already brought clean water to three wards in Afab - and we are not stopping. Through borehole drilling, pipeline rehabilitation, and community water point construction, we are eliminating the waterborne diseases that have stolen too many lives for too long.
The project works in partnership with local government and international water NGOs, and trains community members in basic water infrastructure maintenance to ensure lasting impact.
Aligned with ADA's Mission, Vision & Objectives
Central to Objective 2 (infrastructure) and Objective 7 (healthcare access). Clean water directly improves health outcomes, reduces child mortality, and frees women from the burden of long water walks - advancing our vision of a prosperous, healthy Afab community.
"A child who drinks clean water stays in school. A mother who doesn't walk three miles for water can spend that time building her family's future. Clean water is not charity - it is justice."

🌿 Caring for the land that feeds us
🌿 Project 04 · Environment & Agriculture
Green Afab: Environment & Sustainable Farming
Afab's land is rich - with fertile soil, clean rivers, and forests that have sustained our people for generations. ADA's Environment and Sustainable Farming Project works to keep it that way. We support farmers with training in modern, climate-smart techniques, introduce sustainable crop varieties, and lead reforestation campaigns that protect Afab's natural environment for future generations.
This project directly addresses food security, reducing community dependence on outside supply chains while preserving the ecological integrity of the Afab landscape.
Aligned with ADA's Mission, Vision & Objectives
Advances Objectives 6 (agricultural development) and 10 (environmental sustainability). Connects to our vision of a self-sufficient community - one that feeds itself, sustains its environment, and thrives without dependency.
"Our land is not just where we live - it is who we are. When we protect Afab's forests and farms, we are protecting our identity, our food, and our children's inheritance."

💪 Empowering the next generation
💪 Project 05 · Women & Youth Empowerment
Rising Together: Women & Youth Empowerment
The future of Afab lives in its women and its youth. ADA's Women and Youth Empowerment Project delivers vocational skills training, business mentorship, digital literacy, cooperative formation support, and leadership development to the two most underserved yet most powerful segments of our community.
Women trained through our program have launched catering businesses, tailoring cooperatives, and savings groups. Youth who complete our digital skills program have gone on to employment and entrepreneurship. The transformation is real - and it starts with a single training session.
Aligned with ADA's Mission, Vision & Objectives
Directly delivers on Objectives 3 (women's empowerment) and 4 (youth engagement). At the core of our mission to foster sustainable development - because a community that lifts its women and youth lifts itself completely.
"When a woman in Afab learns a skill, she doesn't just lift herself - she lifts her children, her household, her neighbours. Empower one woman in Afab, and you have changed the story of a whole family."
Project 06 - Roads & Infrastructure
Road Pavement and Opening of New Streets
Good roads are the lifeline of any growing community. ADA's Road Pavement and New Streets Project opens up Afab by grading and paving existing roads and carving out new streets that connect homes, farms, markets, schools, and the health centre. When roads are passable all year round, farmers reach markets faster, children get to school safely, and emergency vehicles can reach families in need.
This project reduces the isolation that holds back rural growth. Every new street opened and every stretch of road paved brings trade, mobility, and opportunity closer to the people of Afab, and lays the groundwork for the businesses and services that follow good access.
Aligned with ADA's Mission, Vision & Objectives
Advances our infrastructure and community development goals. Reliable roads unlock every other project we run, from healthcare access to farming and trade, moving Afab closer to a connected, self-sufficient future.
"A road is more than gravel and tar. It is a promise that no part of Afab will be left behind, and that opportunity can reach every doorstep."

Why This Matters
A Heart for Our Community
For generations, Afab has had no public place to gather, learn and keep its story. Students travel far to find a library. The knowledge of our elders passes on unrecorded. Women and young people have talent and drive but no room to train. Community meetings are held wherever space can be found.
The Afab Community Centre changes that. Over the next five years, ADA will build and equip a two-storey, multi-purpose centre on community-donated land in the heart of Afab. It will be the first facility of its kind in our community and a landmark for all of Manyu Division.
This is ADA's flagship project and the centrepiece of our Five-Year Plan. Every chapter, every member and every partner has a part to play in bringing it to life.
What We Are Building
Everything Under One Roof
The Centre brings together the facilities our community needs most, designed to international standards with Afab character.
Ultra-Modern Library & Digital Resource Centre
A reading hall for 150 people, 40 internet-connected computers, a collection of over 5,000 books, a children's reading corner and a quiet study zone open late during examination seasons. Solar backup keeps the lights on.
Afab Heritage Museum & Oral History Archive
A permanent exhibition of Afab artefacts, attire, tools and instruments, plus a recording studio where the stories, songs and wisdom of our elders are preserved for every generation to come.
Skills & Training Centre
A 25-station digital skills and coding lab, vocational training in tailoring, catering, soap-making and other trades, and courses in business, bookkeeping and financial literacy.
Community Hall & Meeting Place
A main hall seating 300 for town halls, ADA general assemblies, cultural festivals, weddings and celebrations, with three breakout rooms and a video link so members abroad can join in.
Women's Empowerment Wing
A business and cooperative hub, a production space for women's groups, a private counselling room and a childcare corner, so every mother can take part.
Youth Hub
A homework and tutoring room, a creative arts studio for music, drama and crafts, a recreation room and a mentorship lounge where young people grow ideas into businesses.
Solar Power & Clean Water
A full solar power system and a borehole make the Centre self-sufficient, so learning and meetings never stop when the grid goes down.
Grounds, Access & Safety
A landscaped courtyard and community garden, visitor parking, accessible toilets and ramps, secure fencing, lighting and a small administration office.
