In the wake of devastating disasters that struck the Western and Northern provinces of Rwanda, claiming the lives of 130 individuals, the nation found itself grappling with the aftermath of tragedy. As the government mobilized resources to contain the effects of the disaster, it issued a clarion call for private entities to step forward and lend a helping hand. Answering this call with unwavering commitment and compassion, the Authentic Development Agency (ADA) emerged as a beacon of hope, providing crucial assistance to families in distress.

With a deep-seated commitment to its mandate, as articulated by its legal representative, Apostle Dr. Paul Gitwaza, ADA swiftly mobilized relief support worth RWF 46 million. This initiative, undertaken in collaboration with government agencies, aimed not only to alleviate the immediate suffering of affected communities but also to exemplify the agency’s core mission of spreading the love and good news of Jesus Christ.

The mandate entrusted to ADA by Apostle Paul Gitwaza encompasses far more than mere philanthropy; it underscores a fundamental responsibility to serve as a prime partner in fostering economic and social growth across all sectors of society. In responding to the call for assistance during times of crisis, ADA reaffirmed its commitment to being a catalyst for positive change and community development.

The support provided by the Authentic Development Agency took various forms, reflecting a holistic approach to disaster relief. A substantial amount of RWF 4 million was allocated to the Ministry of Emergency Management (MINEMA) to bolster government efforts in addressing the immediate needs of affected populations. Additionally, ADA allocated RWF 41 million towards procuring essential items such as clothes, food, and other relief supplies, ensuring that families received tangible assistance during their time of need.

Beyond material aid, the leadership of ADA, including Pastor Innocent Muyoboke (Secretary General) and MUKANSANGA Stephanie (Officer in charge of social affairs), embarked on a mission of compassion and solidarity. They personally visited families impacted by the disasters, offering messages of hope, prayers, and emotional support. This hands-on approach not only provided much-needed comfort to those affected but also served as a powerful reminder of ADA’s commitment to standing alongside communities in their darkest hours.

The impact of ADA’s intervention reverberated far beyond the immediate relief efforts. By demonstrating solidarity and compassion in times of crisis, ADA reinforced its role as a trusted partner in community resilience and empowerment. Through its actions, ADA not only provided tangible assistance to families in distress but also instilled a sense of hope and resilience in the face of adversity.

As the nation mourns the loss of lives and grapples with the aftermath of the disasters, the intervention of ADA serves as a shining example of the transformative power of collective action and compassion. In the spirit of its mandate and guided by the principles of love and service, ADA remains committed to walking alongside communities, offering support, and spreading the message of hope and healing to all those in need. In times of darkness, the light of ADA shines brightly, illuminating the path towards a brighter, more resilient future for all.
