RAHAB Women Project
The Rahab Women Project is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering women and girls who were once engaged in prostitution. After embracing the message of Jesus and experiencing spiritual renewal, these individuals are given the opportunity to participate in various skill-building activities, participating in the project not only provides women and girls with valuable skills but also equips them to generate income and achieve economic independence. Through the project, they receive training in sewing, knitting, beauty salon services such as pedicure and manicure, and numerous other skills. In addition to skill-building, the project emphasises the importance of spiritual and emotional support. Inaugurated by ADA in 2018, the pilot phase of the project reached 400 women, marking a significant step towards their empowerment and upliftment.
The women involved in the project met with the Apostle Paul Gitwaza early this year in January, an encounter that further inspired and motivated them. This meeting reinforced their faith and commitment to personal and economic transformation, providing them with additional encouragement and guidance on their journey.
This project represents a step towards equipping and providing them with the tools and resources they need to build a brighter future.
